AXXIOM LA
Axxiom, LA was founded in 2011 by Joei Waldron and is directed by Julia Katcher. Axxiom, LA is an extension of Axxiom and follows the same principles. Axxiom LA's style is a mixture of many dance genres but remains rooted in hip hop and modern dance.
Axxiom LA was founded to help expand the mission of Axxiom. Axxiom LA performs in and out of Los Angeles, Country and abroad. Axxiom LA is committed to bringing the highest level dance to as many communities as possible.

To become a member of Axxiom LA please contact us at axxiomdance@hotmail.com or 619-298-0074 to set up an audition. Axxiom LA only works with advanced dancers that are 18 and over and are committed to their craft. Dancers should be well versed in ballet, jazz, modern and hip hop dance.

Julia Katcher, Associate Artistic Director
A native from Iowa, at the age of five Julia found her passion dancing. Throughout her career she has won several awards and scholarships including but not limited to the Chicago Human Rhythm Project full scholarship and Iowa Arts Council Scholarship for the Arts. She has toured with several companies around the United States including; Duarte Dance Works, Jennifer Kayle + Company: Good Dancers, Bad Language, University of Iowa's Dancer's In Company (Three Seasons), and is pleased to be dancing with Axxiom Dance Collective since 2006. In the coming year she will be assisting Joei Waldron as Artistic Director of Axxiom LA. Julia has been thrilled to perform with Axxiom at venues such as Carnival; Choreographers Ball, Studio A, Monkey Love Cafe, Arizona Dance Festival, Mix Match dance Festival and numerous venues around San Diego. She has studied under such artist's as Alan Sener, Eloy Barrigan, Deanna Carter, George De La Pena, Gabe Masson, and Jill Sigman. Julia graduated the University of Iowa with her BFA in dance and is looking forward to her future endeavors in her career. Enjoy the show!!
